You could measure your social activity by calculating the average number of posts per day or posts per a week you put out or you could use a service like Empire Avenue. I was introduced to this service by Chris Prillo. You can signup with Empire Avenue via one of two ways, either registering with their system or using the Facebook Connect option and the best part of it all is that the service is free. Essentially what Empire Avenue does is puts a fictional value on your social activity. They use a proprietary algorithm to calculate how much you are engaged across social networks that you have connected.
Connection Scores are calculated based on how engaged you are. This doesn’t directly mean that the more you post the more eves you are worth rather it means that your stock price is proportionally equal to the amount of interaction you put forth. Interaction can be anything from commenting on or a liking a status on Facebook or commenting on a video on YouTube. This can also be done by getting more shareholders, or by posting something that others will comment on. On the other hand you can increase your wealth by getting more people to buy shares in you, buying or earning Eaves, inviting friends through your referral link, or by completing achievements.
In essence Empire Avenue is about increasing the connectivity and interactivity of users around the web by putting a value on their level of engagement. The moral of the story is on Empire Avenue it’s not about how much you post but it is more about how much you engage with the content you post.
